She was predeceased by: her husband James Joseph Whelan, III; her son James Joseph Whelan, IV; and her siblings, Elizabeth Ziehl, Arthur Reymann, Anna Hergenroeder, Edward Reymann, Gertrude Reymann, Charles Reymann, Albert Reymann, John Reymann and Helen Schroeter.

She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Stanley (Edward), Honora Myers (Bob), Mary Ann Bauer (Jon), Erin Boland (Bart) and Regina Todd (David); her grandchildren, Jimmy Stanley, Michelle Stanley, Chris Myers (Sam), Patrick Myers (Julie), Sara McKnight (Dylan), Jonathan Bauer (Morgan), Lauren Bauer, Ian Boland (Sabrina), Clare Boland, Bridget Boland and Trevor Todd; and her great grandchildren, Hadley Myers, John Robert and Juno Boland. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
