He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Professor Ramaswami Ayyar and Saroja; his wife Saroja; his daughter Kamala; his son-in-law Nathan; and his grandchildren, Rohan, Anjali, Rajam, Neela, Anna, David, Sarka, Jasmina, Evelina, Emil, Adela, Albert, Jayam, Anne, Yuzun, Hansol, Parvathi, Saraswathi, Narayan, Anand, Bethany, Devin, Lydia, Cora, Suchi, Josh, Priya, Lakshmi, Mike, Alan, Tara, Kaylin, Julia and Steven. He was also cherished by numerous sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and their children.
