He was predeceased by: his father Paul Mercadante. He is survived by: his spouse Misao Mercadante; his children, Tira, Maya and Ella Mercadante; his mother Patricia Mercadante; and his sister Dawn Mercadante.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. (1050 York Rd, Towson, MD 21204). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ursula's Church (8801 Harford Rd, Parkville, MD 21234).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Ursula Basketball Program, St. Ursula Father's Club, or to Notre Dame Preparatory School Basketball Program, 815 Hampton Lane, Towson, MD 21286.
