She was predeceased by: her son Philippe F. Simard; and her father Gerard. She is survived by: her husband Dr. J. Marc Simard; her daughter Michelle A. Simard (Benjamin Lowenthal); her grandson Lyle Lowenthal; her brothers, Guy Bellefleur and Marc Bellefleur; and her mother France Bellefleur.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in Dr. Bellefleur's honor to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
