He is survived by: his wife Jane Athey (DePollo); his daughters, Crystal Legaluppi (Marco) and Laura Bupp (Robert); his grandchildren, Corinne Leidhecker, Christopher Bupp (Brenda), Gina Rinker (Kevin Rinker) and Andrew Legaluppi (Caitlin); his great grandchild Lydia Bupp; his brother Thomas R. Athey Sr. (Linda); and his nieces and nephews, Jeanne Mosmiller, Thomas Athey Jr. (Latasha), Clinton Athey (Linda) and Marisa Wright (Mike).
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Scarpelli Funeral Home (15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, MD 21502). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
