He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara Irene Thayer; his children, William Thayer (Monica), Steven Thayer (Noreen McElhone) and Christine Thayer; his grandchildren, Daniel, Eric, Evan, Aidan and Kieran Thayer; his great grandchildren, Nathan and Austin Thayer; his brothers, Richard Thayer (late Dorothy) and John Thayer; and his sister-in-law Mary Thayer.
