She was predeceased by: her parents, John Benjamin Wilkerson and Edith Virginia Wilkerson; her husband Donald Ward; and her siblings, Robert "Bobby" Wilkerson, David Wilkerson and Carolyn Knopp.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis Ward (Beth), Douglas Ward (Sharon) and Donna Swann (Jody); and her brother John B. Wilkerson Jr.. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home-Owings (8325 Mt Harmony Ln, Owings, MD 20736). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Friendship United Methodist Church (22 Friendship Rd, Friendship, MD 20758).
