With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shirley Patricia Nelson of Tracys Landing, Maryland, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Shirley Patricia left this world on July 3, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Kivlin and Mildred Kivlin (Fuller). She is survived by: her significant other Peter Gregory "Greg" Nelson; her children, Chad Nelson (Dawn Nelson), Tracy Thorne and Keri Gregoire (Chris Gregoire); her grandchildren, Alexandra Gregoire, Connor Nelson, Kasey Gregoire, Ryan Gregoire, Drew Thorne, Luke Thorne and Ray Thorne; and her nephew Michael Mahoney.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Jesus the Divine Word Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to the Alzheimer's Association, in honor of Shirley's courageous battle and in the hope of a cure for this devastating disease.
