He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zacharias Rippeon and Mary Ellen Gaitrell Rippeon; his wife Jeannette Rippeon; his son Gary Rippeon; and his siblings, Irene Norwood, Mary Louise, Treva Hall, Roger and John Rippeon Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Gladfelter (Stanley) of Johnsville and John C. Rippeon (Lisa) of New Windsor; his grandchildren, Steve Kent (Becca), Travis Smith, Michael Griessier (Ashley), Kelsea Stroosnyder (Sean), Taylor Lookingbill (Eddie), Haley See (Jason), John Rippeon Jr. (Taylor) and Norman Gladfelter (Denise); his great grandchildren, Cole, Callie Smith, Stella Kent, Parker, Charlie Griesser, Grady, Madelyn Baker, Nash Lookingbill, Maverick, Jett Stroosnyder and Mick Gladfelter; and his siblings, June Haydak, Frank and George Rippeon.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren (13356 Glissans Mill Rd, Mt Airy, MD 21771). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
