The passing of Robert L. Clingan of Union Bridge, Maryland leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 26, 2025 at the age of 89. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pius Leo Clingan and Ruth Simpson Clingan Oden; and his siblings, Pat Summers, Janet Fogle, Ethel Clingan, Carl Clingan and John Oden.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shelly Clingan, Cheryl Clingan and Julie Rice (John Stowers); his granddaughters, Christina Fogle (Brad Cannedy), Delaney Rice and Kayln Rice; his brothers, Kenneth Clingan (Anna), Charles Clingan and Richard Clingan; and his friends, Joe Swann and Kevin Moore. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hartzler Funeral Home (11802 Liberty Rd, Frederick, MD 21701). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 282, 101 W. Elizabeth Street, Woodsboro, MD 21798, or to Martinsburg VA Medical Center Voluntary Service, 510 Butler Avenue, Martinsburg, WV 25405.
