She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles J. Martin and Ethel Cooper Martin; her husband John D. Gaither III; her sons, John D. IV and Michael Richard Gaither; and her grandson John P. Gaither.
She is survived by: her children, Joan LaClair (Donald) of Summerfield, FL, Susan Turner (Kenneth) of Henrico, NC, Gary Gaither (Carolyn) of Unionville and David Gaither (Vicky) of Cedar City, UT; her grandchildren, Jennifer Newman, Michael Gaither, Candice Reaver, Scott and Eric LaClair; her great grandchildren, Joann, Anthony, Jordan Gaither, Rosie, Josh Gaither, Hunter, Jaxon Reaver and Gabriel LaClair; and her sister Betty Young of Unionville. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
