It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine D. Blacknall (Upper Marlboro, Maryland), who passed away on December 31, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Brown and Hortense Avon Brown; her sister Freda; and her husband John Thomas Blacknall of Kittrell. She is survived by: her sibling Russell; her children, Ronda Rachelle, Kitty and John Thomas Blacknall, Jr. (Patrice Hale); her granddaughters, Daisha, Jhané, Zia, Zionna and Laila; her great grandchild Jade; her siblings, Delores, William (Maxine), Gladys, Myrtle (Calvin) and Crisfield Donnell Brown; and her godchildren, Laurie Monk, Brittany Reid and Terrence Brooks. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
