It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Erna White of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, who passed away on December 4, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Rupert Hess and Elizabeth Hess. She is survived by : her husband Elbert "Ed" White; and her children, Deborah Wilkes, Gary White (Cindy) and Janice White. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and her fourteen great-grandchildren.

She spent hours volunteering at Charlotte Hall Veteran's Home, either hosting bingo, bringing donations, or just visiting with the residents. She lived by the moto, "Service before Self," coordinating programs and donations for the Tanglewood Early Childhood Center, the Ronald McDonald House, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
