He was predeceased by: his father George Emmitt Pettross Jr.; and his wife Julia F. Pettross. He is survived by: his siblings, Donald A. Pettross Sr. (Rose) and Faye Q. Pettross; his daughter Valeri T. Gamble; his stepdaughter Kimberly L. Thomas; his son Joseph D. Pettross (Pamela); his stepson Brown (Michele); Donny A. Pettross, Jr.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren.
