He is survived by: his children, Crystal Ibetoh of Meridian, Ashleigh Noble of Severn, MD and James R. Herring of Washington, DC; and his siblings, Wyvonia Perry of Durham, NC, Barry Herring of Richmond, VA, Chris Herring of Knightdale, NC and Dwight Herring of Durham, NC. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
