Paula Rae Sherman of Upper Marlboro, Maryland passed away on August 29, 2026. Paula, born on June 4, 1953, shared life alongside family, friends, and others. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Philip Sherman and Elouise Gladys Oliver Sherman; her grandparents, Ernest, Irene Landry Oliver, Leo and Cloryan Middleton Sherman; her godmother Barbara Dupaty Thomas; her uncle Henry Heim, Jr.; her sister Sharon Marie Sherman; and her nephew Lucius Andrew Tyson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Donald Philip Sherman, Eric Tyrone Sherman (Christina), Judy Sherman Tyson and Beverly Jean Sherman; her nephews, Jerremy Andre'Brister, Christopher Eric Sherman and Phillip Sherman Brister; her niece Attorney Ashlee Elouise Sherman; and her aunt Eleanor Sherman. She is also survived by cousins, other relatives, former students, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Springfield Baptist Church (508 P St NW, Washington, DC 20001).
