She was predeceased by : her parents, Reverend Philip Sherman and Elouise Gladys Oliver Sherman; her aunts, Cordella Oliver and Eleanor Sherman; her grandparents, Ernest, Irene Landry Oliver, Leo and Cloryan Middleton Sherman; her godparents, William Oliver and Ruth Sherman Johnson; and her nephew Lucius Andrew Tyson III.
She is survived by : her siblings, Donald Philip Sherman, Eric Tyrone Sherman (Christina), Judy Sherman Tyson, Paula Rae Sherman and Beverly Jean Sherman; her nephews, Jerremy Andre'Brister, Christopher Eric Sherman and Phillip Sherman Brister; and her niece Attorney Ashlee Elouise Sherman. She is also survived by cousins, other relatives, former students and friends.
