It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cornelia C. Barnas of Waldorf, Maryland, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cornelia C. Barnas to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her father Albert P. Cieslik; and her father-in-law Bengt Barnas. She is survived by: her mother Anneliese O. Cieslik; her husband Robert; her children, Ashley (Steve) and Noah; her grandson Michael (Lauren); her brother Ricky Cieslik; her mother-in-law Gertrude Barnas; and her brothers-in-law, Ken (Luanne) and Rick. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

I had the honor of working with Connie, first as a beloved member of the OB/women's team at SMHC, then as a pediatric school nurse in the CCPS/CCDOH system. Connie was simply a saint, an angel here on earth. She brightened and uplifted every soul, young and old, blessed to come across her path.
