He is survived by: his stepchildren, Stephanie Portzen of Waldorf, MD, Eric Burnett of Chaptico, MD and Patrick Portzen; his siblings, John L. Criswell and Barbara Criswell Robertson; and his grandchildren, Derek Hockett, Jeremiah Schaming, Jonathan Schaming, Charles Burnett, Jazzlynn Portzen and Carter Edwards.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory (30195 Three Notch Rd, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622). A reception will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Memorial Gardens (3221 Mattawoman Beantown Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601).
