She was predeceased by: her parents, David Slaughter, and Cleo Slaughter, Sr.; and her siblings, Rena Jarrett, David Jr. and Gregory Slaughter.
She is survived by: her children, Aurelia Thrift and Lorenzo Carter; her granddaughter Car'ree Thrift; her aunt Joyce P. Jackson; and her niece Michelle Slaughter. She is also survived by cousins and many friends.
