He was predeceased by: his parents, Jennes Nelson and Mildred Nelson; his wife Rose Lee Nelson (Greer); and his grandson Noah Nelson. He is survived by: his siblings, Jennes, Louis, Harold and Betty; his children, Frankie, Rose, Ripley, Terry (Peggy) and Teresa (Molly); his son-in-law James Buchanan; his child Jerry; his grandsons, Josh and Jamie; his adoptive daughter Brenda Kitts; his granddaughter Leah Jacobs; Herman Lasure.
