He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosie Johnson and Charlie Johnson; his siblings, John, Paul, Leon, William Johnson, Rebecca Dixon, Grace Johnson, Theresa Johnson, Ruth Earle, Catherine Green and Gloria Warren; his children, Barbara Beverly and Jeremiah Johnson; and his grandchildren, Daniell Johnson, Pareethia Beverly and Antowne Robinson.
He is survived by: his close friend Nancy Johnson; his children, Geraldine Peyton, Christine Jackson, Franklin Johnson Erica Woodland (Marilyn Johnson), Larry Johnson and Gail Johnson; and his grandchildren, Patrick Jackson, Shannon Tolliver, Derrick Woodland, Evan Woodland, Steven Woodland, Sharday Johnson, Deanna Johnson, Lakeysha Charity, Tyreese Robinson, Regina Peyton, Shantayne Beverly, Jernole Beverly and Carol Beverly.
Even after his health began to decline and Alzheimer's was taking over, he still had that strong desire to get dressed and go to church.
