He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Proctor and Mary Irene Proctor; his wife Cecelia Elaine; his brothers, James "Squench" and Joseph "Joe-Joe"; and his half-siblings, Mary, Mary "Arlene", Elizabeth Agnes, James Edward, John William and Joseph Thomas Proctor.
He is survived by: his children, Joyce, Devine, Bruce, Wanda, Mark "Rodney" and Rella; his siblings, Jean (James "Dickey"), Bernard "Hungry" (Jane) and Robert "Peachy"; his grandchildren, Derek Thompson, Tony Proctor, Joy Thompson Neal, Shameka Gutrick, Marquis Proctor, Bryan Proctor of Carl, Gutrick, Jr., Mark Proctor, Jr., Shannon Graham, Keoshia Proctor, Tierra Proctor, Scottie Law Jr. and Justin Proctor; his children-in-law, Valerie, Darlene and Scottie Law; and his close friend Bertha Fields. He is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
