She was predeceased by: her mother Minnie White Johnson; and her brother James Mizzell. She is survived by: her children, Tyrone, Desney and Tenesha; her children-in-law, TaWonda Williams and Kennedy Bowen; her grandchildren, Nelson, Archelle Bowen, Jourdan, David Ofori-Anim, Lena Williams, Justice Massenburg, Briana Bowen, Joshua Massenburg, Jenesis Massenburg and Bryan Bowen; her great grandchildren, Ace and Winn Bowen; her sisters, Lolita Johnson and Linda Mizzell; her niece Lynise Warner; and her great-nephew Gyden Singleton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews through love and marriage, cousins, and friends.
