He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Day and Britton Day; his sisters, Brenda Day Hart and Connie Lee Sterling; and his son John Joseph "JJ" Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Juni Day; his children, James Day (Jodie), Mary Day and Kati Bennett (Clayton); his grandchildren, Hannah Day, Nathan Day, Bryce Bennett and Natali Bennett; his great grandchild River Guy; and his sister Maragaret Jones (Harold). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM and at 6:30 PM at the Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home (7 Industrial Park Dr, Waldorf, MD 20602).
