He was predeceased by: his mother Arlene A. Poppey (Barkie). He is survived by: his father Michael L. Poppey; his wife Nancy L. Poppey; his brother Thomas C. Poppey (Elissa); his daughter Megan K. Smootz (Kyle); his stepchildren, Michelle Istvan, Stephanie Watts (Nick), Christopher Istvan and Michael Istvan; and his grandchildren, Kyla Istvan, Rylie Smootz, Emma Smootz, Weston Watts, Arya Watts and Lachlan Watts.
