He was predeceased by: his son Christopher James Wright; his parents, Susan Collins and Grover Wright; and his brothers, Joe Finley, Danny Wood and David Wood.

He is survived by: his pet Blue; his daughters, Kara Dove (Jamie) and Ashley Wright (Daniel Kagarise); his grandchildren, Benny, Kendall and Nikolai; his great grandchild Kinley; and his siblings, Jack, Sonny (Dianne), Kathie (Jimmy) and Georgia McCoy.
