He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph J. Yanike and Ramona Yanike (Backman). He is survived by: his sons, Anders J. Yanike (Lauren) and Luke A. Yanike (Kim) of Frederick; his grandchildren, Gwyneth, Joseph, Elijah, Josie, Isaac and Evan; and his sister Suzanne Nusbaum (Bob Baltzell) of Frederick.
