He was predeceased by: his parents, Leta Pauline Wyman (Birt) and Charles Leland Burgett; and his wife Dora Lee Ruth Burgett. He is survived by: his children, Kristopher Burgett of Fairfield, PA, Katrina McLain (Lonnie Jr.) of Taneytown, MD and Kimberly Schofield (Gordon Sr.) of Frederick, MD; his grandchildren, Victoria, Hunter, Leah, Brett, Brendon, Lonnie III, Dustin, Ian, Adrianna and Gordon Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Devyn, Brooke, Brayden, Braxten and Clara.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens (9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701).
