The passing of Phyllis Houck Smith of Walkersville, Maryland leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 8, 2025 at the age of 97. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira G. Houck and Beulah Rebecca Smith; and her brothers, Kenneth (Tub), Harold (Hartz) and I. Marvin Houck (Buck).
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Hannibal (Rich) and Dwight Smith (Jayna); her grandchildren, Marris Smith (Tobie Stebbins), Cory Smith (Margarita), Mark Hannibal (Mackenna) and Kara Hannibal (Charles Gray); and her great grandchildren, Clark, Rhodes Stebbins, Florence Stebbins and Marion Smith.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home (40 Fulton Ave, Walkersville, MD 21793). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Glade United Church of Christ (21 Fulton Ave, Walkersville, MD 21793).
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be sent to the Glade United Church of Christ Walkersville and the Glade Valley Food Bank.
