In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Douglas Wayne had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Douglas Wayne may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Stewart Thomas Sr. and Mary Eva Thomas; his brother Rodney Bruce Thomas; and his sister-in-law Penny Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Elizabeth Thomas; his son Douglas Arthur "Art" Thomas; his siblings, Arthur Stewart "Stu" Thomas Jr. and Lisa Jill Roselle (Richard); and his sister-in-law Sandra Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Raymond Funeral Chapel (5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
