He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Melvin and Margaret Elizabeth Broadwater (Sisk); his sisters, Helen Stahl and Wilma Cosner; and his son Justin Diehl.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Broadwater (Poole); his daughters, Stephanie Holdren (Larry), Wenona Trexler, Donnie and Marlo Diehl; his sister Doris "Dee" Dawson (Bob); his grandchildren, Brittany Baker, Justin Baker, Kailee, Logan Baker, Zack Trexler, Tyler Trexler, Kayla Johnson, Brooke Lancaster, Destiny Swick, Travis Miller and Wyatt Yoak; and his great grandchildren, Daxtyn Kesner and Beckett Baker. He is also survived by great grandchildren; numerous nieces, cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Boal Funeral Home-Westernport (111 Church St, Westernport, MD 21562). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Elk District Ambulance Service, Elk Garden, WV.
