It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darla A. Walton of Westminster, Maryland, who passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva B. Walton and Evelyn H. Walton; her husband Robert Wantz; her great grandchild Lily Ann; her son-in-law Loran Johnson; her grandson-in-law Kenneth Shilling; her uncle Clarence Gamerdinger; and her aunt Wanda L. Gamerdinger.
She is survived by: her children, Scott W. Patterson (Galena Zabelina) of Sterling, Virginia, Hope C. Johnson of Bulls Gap, Tennessee and Wendy W. Valonis (Calvin Sullivan) of Westminster, Maryland.; her grandchildren, Justin Patterson (Laurel Patterson), Amanda Steele (Matthew Steele), Jesse Schwartzbeck, Shannon Johnson, Melinda Shilling, David Kidd (Ashley), Kimberleigh Metzler (Daren Metzler) and Sarah Valonis; and her great grandchildren, Blake Evan, Corbin Kenneth, Khloie Olivia, Clara Germaine, Declane Zane and Callie. She is also survived by numerous step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, respective spouses, and friends.
