He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hellwig King of Westminster; his daughter Kathryn King Steinwedel (Bill) of Westminster; his grandchildren, David, Megan and Dylan Steinwedel; his son David King Jr. of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Patrick, Colin and Charlotte King; his daughters, Emma, Julia Herbert and Shaunna Hawkes Anderson (CJ) of Baltimore; and his grandchildren, Sydney and Charleigh Anderson.
