He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin W. Maerten and Alice W. Maerten; and his siblings, Janet Loret and David Maerten. He is survived by: his sister Marian Klumpp; his children, Maria Hale, Ted, Greg, Paul, Mark and Mike; his grandchildren, Christina Buck, Kara, Jeff, Luke Hale, Rachel Forshee, Caroline, Grace Maerten, Alexis, Kylie Hailslip, Patrick, Nancy, David, Serena, Summer, Sarah, Jack, Kate and Benjamin Maerten; and his great grandchild Isabella Buck.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Duane's name.
