It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Hughes Howard of Westminster, Maryland, born in Finksburg, Maryland, who passed away on May 22, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Carroll and Elvie Maude Harry Hughes; her husband Lawrence Frederick Howard; her son Bruce Edward Harman; her siblings, Harry Adam Hughes, Howard Carroll Hughes, Henry Hughes, Clara Virginia Beamer, Hilda Mae Miller, Annie Berkley Hoff and Helen Owings; and her former life partner Carroll S. Harman.

She is survived by : her son Birnie Carroll Harman of Westminster, MD; her daughter-in-law Diane Harman; her stepdaughters, Joan Mason, Linda Boit and Elizabeth Kemp; her grandchildren, Amanda and Caitlyn; and her sisters, Mary Alice Rosenberger of Westminster, MD and Betty Young of Finksburg, MD.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel (3296 Charmil Dr, Manchester, MD 21102). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn's name may be offered to the Black Rock Church of the Brethren, 3864 Glenville Rd, Glenville, PA 17329.
