He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Franklin Shamer, Jr. (Lisa), Jodi Hudgens (Kris), Dustin Shamer (Krystal) and Courtney Lafferty (Levi); his brothers, David Edward Shamer IV and Dennis Michael Shamer (Robin); and his grandchildren, Brayden Shamer, Kamryn Hudgens, Laytan Hudgens, Paige Federici, Mya Shamer, Camden Lafferty, Sutton Lafferty and Clayton Lafferty.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services (254 E Main St, Westminster, MD 21157).
