As we bid Joan farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Charles and Nancy Ann Maranto (Richter); her husband David Barrett; and her son Arthur "Chuck" Hetrick. She is survived by: her daughters, Amy Funk (Larry) of Taneytown, MD and Tracey Blair (Michael) of Monkton, MD.; and her grandchildren, Benjamin Hetrick (Jennifer), Kimberly Hetrick (Adam), Tammy Geiman (Lucas), Katherine and Erin Blair. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
