With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joan Ann DeWees of Westminster, Maryland, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Rader and Mary Rader; her husband Thomas D. DeWees; and her siblings, Pat Pueltz, George Rader and Jim Rader of Baltimore.

She is survived by: her children, Kathy Thomas (Lane Thomas) of Fairfield, PA, Michael Mueller (Beth Mueller) of Woodbine, Maryland, Kimberly Reich (Mike Reich) of Littlestown, PA, David DeWees (Shannon DeWees) of Westminster, Maryland, Jim DeWees of Westminster, Maryland and Kevin DeWees (Angel DeWees) of Hanover, PA; her sister-in-law Nancy Rader of Baltimore; and her nieces, Debbie Jones (Walt Jones) of Stewartstown, PA and Kristen Unglesbee (Mike Unglesbee) of Baltimore. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of Joan's beloved cat Millie-Grace, the family is asking for donations to be sent to Animal Rescue, Inc. of New Freedom, PA.
