He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Dennis, Sr. and Eva Moser Dennis; and his sister Athalia Callahan. He is survived by: his wife Jane McIlvain Dennis of Westminster; his children, John Mark Dennis, Anne Christiansen and Bill Dennis (Terri); and his great grandchildren, Thomas Cipoletti, Elliott, Sam, Aoife Christiansen, Ashlee, Matt, Aubrianna Hess, Olivia, Camden, Anthony Lagatare, Chrissy and Sonny Black.
His family requests that memorial donations be directed to Bridging Life Dove House in Westminster, where he received gentle, loving care in his final days, or to Carroll Lutheran Village's "Benevolent Care Fund.".
