He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Leister and Mabel Leister (Lynch). He is survived by: his wife Jean Louise Leister (Houck); his children, James C. Leister, Lara L. King, Renee L. Gill and Christina Alford; and his siblings, Dennard Leister, Sharon Leister and Melba Hall. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
