It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mabel Shockney of Westminster, Maryland, who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mabel Shockney to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Dom and Zelda Dom (Rizer); her husband John E. Shockney; her sons, David A. Martz and John Shockney; and her brother George Dom.
She is survived by: her children, Anthony Shockney of Charles Town, WVA and Maria Jenkins (Jay) of Elloree, SC; her siblings, Anna Marriott (late Richard Marriott) of Fort Mill, SC, James Dom (Louise) of Littlestown, PA and Bradley Dom of Wellersburg, PA; and her daughter-in-law Susan Martz. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel (412 Washington Rd, Westminster, MD 21157). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
