He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Oliver Farver and Ella May Warfield Farver; his daughter Sharon Layman; and his siblings, Gladys Elseroad, Betty Collins, Leroy, Roland and Marvin Farver.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Black Farver; and his children, Maurice Farver Jr. of Thurmont and Cheryl Benfer (Keith) of Westminster. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to BridgingLife Dove House, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
