We announce the death of Robert Edward Smith Jr. of Westminster, Maryland, who passed away on June 17, 2026, at the age of 78. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward, Sr. and Rose Margaret Smith (Strine); and his brother Richard M. Smith. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Ann Davis of Taneytown and Troy Smith (Angie) of Mt. Airy; his grandchildren, Celina Rose Davis, Tyler, Anissa Smith and Jaylynn Post; his girlfriend Melanie Haines of Westminster; his stepchildren, Michael Roop, Timothy Roop and Kitty Owings; and his nephews, James and Eugene Smith.
