With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruthann Shae (Westminster, Maryland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 6, 2025 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruthann Shae to pay them a last tribute.

Though Ruthann may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ruthann touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Ruth and George Kurtinitis; and her brother Robert Kurtinitis. She is survived by: her husband Wayne Shae; her daughters, Lisa Chalk (Gary Chalk) of Westminster and Michelle Shae (Randy Reed) of Abbottstown, PA.; and her brother George Kurtinitis (Cathy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and/or Evo and Eli's Love Box and Sanctuary, 313 Cosell Drive, Chambersburg, PA, 17201 reflecting her love for helping others and her cherished animals.

“I was so sad to learn of the passing of Ruthann. My heart goes out to her family. She was such a sweet, caring lady. She would check in from time to time to see how Rocky was doing. She loved him and wanted to adopt him, but he was too big for her to handle, so we were going to bring him for a visit. He got very sick and made his walk over the bridge before we could do that. I hope they found each other. ❤️”
