Smith; his children, Charles Pitts (Chakirah), Jojuan Pitts (Liz) and Romanda Thomas; his sisters, Betty Brown (Joe), Jean Robins (David) and Gertrude Cooper (Tyrone); and his grandchildren, Latrell, Shaun, Kyla, Kira, Jomonda, Jalisha and James III. He is also survived by several godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
