He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris Shane and Alice Jones Shane; and his siblings, Norris D., James R., Phillip O., Joan Shane Mackenzie and Sarah Shane Warner.
He is survived by: his sister Elizabeth Shane Malloy of San Antonio, Texas.; his wife Janice Arlene Spessard of Hagerstown; and his children, Laura (John) of Rockville, David (Brenda) of Williamsport and Andy (KayCee). He is also survived by two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
