He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Charles Hays Sr. (Peggy) and Myrtle Hays (Dudley). He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Hays (Miles); his sons, David Hays (Ilze) and Robert Hays (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Paul and Esther Hays; and his niece Teri Logan. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Evangel Baptist Church (17922 Broadfording Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21740).
