He was predeceased by: his parents, David Luther Johnson and Anna Mary Johnson; his wife Barbara Ann Johnson (Butler); and his son Larry Richard Johnson of Woodbine. He is survived by: his children, Charles W. Johnson, Jr. (Doris) of Woodbine, Carolyn M. Lowrey (Billy) of Mt. Airy, Thomas A. Johnson, Sr. of Mt. Airy, Judith A. Deel of Mt. Airy and Mary Ellen Fleming (Jimmy) of Mt. Airy. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
