He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Winkler and Louise Winkler; and his siblings, Donald, Lawrence, Glenn Winkler, Dorothy Bowers, Val Robertson and Shirley Doyle.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Katie Winkler, Jeff Winkler (Rhonda) of Woodbine and Jamie Winkler (Cynthia) of Atlanta, Georgia.; and his brothers, Joseph Winkler of Taylorsville and Jerome Winkler of Asheville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Burrier Queen Funeral Home (1212 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (1125 St Michaels Rd, Mt Airy, MD 21771). A burial will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Calendar St. Michael Cemetery (17005 Hardy Rd, Mt Airy, MD 21771).
